Compliance with International Principles and Recommendations (COPE, WAME, DORA)

The journal “Physical and Mathematical Education” follows internationally recognised principles of publication ethics and responsible scholarly publishing and takes into account guidance from the following initiatives:

COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics)

The editorial office uses COPE guidance to prevent and address publication misconduct, including plagiarism, data manipulation, conflicts of interest, authorship issues, corrections, expressions of concern, and retractions.

WAME (World Association of Medical Editors) - editorial integrity principles

The journal supports approaches that promote transparent editorial decision-making, independent peer review, proper management of conflicts of interest, and accountability of the editorial team.

DORA (San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment)

The journal supports responsible research assessment and does not encourage evaluating manuscripts or researchers solely by journal-based metrics. Editorial decisions are based on the scholarly quality of the work, novelty, methodological soundness, and the significance of results.

These principles are implemented through the journal’s policies and procedures, including peer review, publication ethics, complaints handling, AI use, corrections/expressions of concern, and retraction.
